Northern Province Governor Mr. Reginald Cooray has taken steps to extend the age limit of recruitment to the Northern Provincial public service from 35 years to 40 years.
The Gazette Notice in this regard is being printed. Moreover, he stated that a Cabinet Memorandum will be presented to the cabinet by Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, Minister of Education, to absorb teachers who serve in Northern Province on voluntary, contractual and part time basis to the Provincial Public Service.
