Samurdhi no longer Divi Neguma: Parliament approves

Samurdi logoThe bill issued to revert Divi Neguma to Samurdhi was approved by the Parliament today (9).

 Social Empowerment and Welfare Minister S.B. Dissanayake submitted the memorandum to amend the Divi Neguma Act No 01 of 2013 to replace the name as Samurdhi, in 2015. (CDN)

The department assists media in a macro level in welfare, training, policy planning and accreditation, and providing easy access to Government news and information.
